  I recently went there to submit my passport renewal application. I was 10 minutes past their normal passport accepting time of 4:30pm. A female staff member flatly refused to accept the application, given it was past the 'normal' time, however had plenty of time to say what I should have done and should be doing. However, another female staff member who was listening to the conversation did exactly the opposite. She not only accepted my application, but also held the collection of mail until the process was complete, so that my passport could be dispatched on the same day. It was disappointing to experience how simple courtesies are diminishing while also pleased to see some people really do care for their clients. Being my local post office, I wish they hire more people like the lady (she had an Eastern European accent) who served me and provide training / support to bridge commonsense gaps for 'machines' like staff.
